Gentamicin

Gentamicin is an antibiotic drug used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Within the therapeutic range, most individuals will respond well to gentamicin treatment and will not experience any side effects. However, the most common complications associated with gentamicin toxicity are ear and hearing problems as well as kidney damage.

Wide Measuring Range

With a wide measuring range of 0.847 – 11 µg/ml, this assay will comfortably detect levels outside of the therapeutic range of 5 – 10 µg/ml.

This assay has shown a correlation of r=0.99 against another commercially available method providing a highly accurate solution for the toxicology laboratory.

Limited Interference

The Randox Gentamicin reagent has limited interference from Haemoglobin, Intralipid® and Triglycerides ensuring accurate results for your laboratory.
